Lone Pine Planted

One of the symbols of the Gallipoli landings was a pine tree on the heights which survived the fierce conflict. On Anzac Day, in a plot in front of the War Memorial building in Gisborne, a "grandson" of the lone pine was planted, to mark the 50th anniversary of Gallipoli.
