Two little girls with two big mushrooms, which were found near Turihau, are Debbie McCormack, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. McCormack, Centennial Crescent, and Tracie-Lee Pitcher, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Pitcher, Ayton Street.

Fourteen-year-old Mate Nepe, of the Esplanade, because of his disability, was forced to take a taxi to Ilminster School every day. Now, thanks to the efforts of the Gisborne Lions Club, Mate has a bicycle, pictured being presented to him by Messrs Mick Sheridan (left), president of the Lions Club, and Owen Cross, manager of the Farmers Trading Company, and a member of Lions.
