Mr A. G. Hicks (seated), who has held the position of secretary-treasurer of the P.B. Catchment Board since its inception in 1945, will be retiring next October. With Mr Hicks is Mr I. E. Jones, successor to Mr A. D. Todd as the Board's chief engineer.

Mr A. D. Todd, who has retired on super-annuation after 40 years' service, first with M.O.W., and for the last 19 years as engineer to the Catchment Board. Mr Todd is now a partner in the firm of Newton-King O'Dea and Partners, consulting civil and structural engineers, with offices in Hamilton, Masterton, and Gisborne.

The Catchment Board's new position of soil conservation officer has been taken by Mr J. G. McKee.
