Boy Pipers

In due course, the stirring skirl of the pipes, calculated to warm the blood of all true Scotsmen and some others, should burst forth with increased vigour as the result of classes being conducted every Saturday morning at the Intermediate School by Mr D. M. Fielder.

The boys are from 10 to 14 years of age and show great enthusiasm for their hobby, which involves both book and blow work. Their ambition is to form a boys' pipe band.

The pipe tutor, Mr Fielder, takes a theory lesson. Boys are Robin Phear, John Beckett, Brownie Hammond, Colin Wilcox.
