Mrs J. B. Williams, 105 Stout Street, pictured with the giant single gardenia bush she has growing in her garden. Comparatively rare in the district, especially so in this size, the gardenia produced an abundance of beautiful white flowers this season. The bush was imported from Australia 15 years ago, and was transplanted from Patutahi after five years.
