Prior to the Christmas holidays, working bees from the Boys' High School, Lytton High School, and the Intermediate School, spent many solid hours of work cleaning up the beach frontages, under the supervision of the P.R.O. A group of Boys' High School pupils are pictured at work on the Waikanae promenade.

The R.S.A. bar presented a gay scene this Christmas with colourful decorations strung from the ceiling and around the walls. Pictured installing the decor is Mr Laurie Jacobs, the bar manager.

Forty pupils of the Manutuke School pictured at the railway station after they had arrived home from a four-day trip to the South Island, last December.
