A novel one-man hovercraft, baby brother to the large passenger craft which are opening up new fields of land and sea travel in Great Britain, pictured floating across the Te Hapara School tennis court with teacher Mr I. Hughes at the controls. Powered by a Catalina flying boat auxiliary motor, the hovercraft was built in Hastings, and was purchased for £50 by Mr Clarry Gilgren, of Gisborne.
