Church Jubilee

The Mangapapa Methodist Church, in Atkinson Street, which was built in one day by a band of willing workers in the year 1913, celebrated its Golden Jubilee last month.

Part of the celebrations was a social held on the Saturday afternoon, at which a group of the district's older residents, who were present at the building of the church, were in attendance.

On the Sunday, morning and evening services were conducted by a former minister of the church, the Rev G. I. Lawrenson, C.B.E., now of Te Kuiti.
