Olympians v. College Rifles

The Auckland senior championship winners, College Rifles, demonstrated their winning form to a large crowd of spectators at Rugby Park last month when they downed an olympians team by 36 points to eight.

The game was closely contested in the first half, but during the second spell, the Olympian defence collapsed to allow the visiting team to run up 27 points.

The Olympians were Gisborne players, with the exception of East Coast five-eighths, David Hooper.
