Olympic Showjumpers Demonstrate

The three Gisborne members of the four-strong New Zealand questrian team which is to compete in the Olympic Games at Tokyo later this year, gave an exhibition at the showgrounds on a recent Sunday afternoon.

Watched by a large crowd, the three horsemen jumped two rounds of an Olympic standard course laid out by their trainer, Mr C. Bolgar.

The Gisborne members of the team are the Hansen brothers, Bruce and Graeme, both of Makaraka, and Charles Matthews, of Matawhero, Bruce Hansen is the team captain.
