Waerenga-o-Kuri Sports

Cold, overcast weather failed to dampen the spirits of the large crowd of country folk who attended the fifty-fourth Waerenga-o-kuri sports meeting.....the oldest meeting of its kind in the bay.

Held at "The Laurels" sportsfield, on Mr C. B. Mossman's property, the day provided a wide variety of horse competitions for those present, as well as many novelty events for the children.
