Schools' Sports

At the end of the 1963 school year, two major school sports meeting were held in Gisborne.

Firstly, the Boys' High annual past-versus-present tourney, involving competition in athletics, rowing, swimming, cricket, tennis, and shooting, from which the students emerged narrow victors.

The other event was the Physical Education Branch's inaugural athletics meeting at the Childers Road Reserve, in which representatives from 12 primary schools in the district competed.
