Bushcraft Instruction Course

A weekend bushcraft instructional course, run by members of the Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club, was attended by 20 boys from the Lytton and Gisborne Boys' High Schools.

Run on similar lines to the Outward Bound school, at Anikiwa, the course included canoeing, rope-work, bushcraft, river crossing, and first aid.

The boys camped out for two nights, in the location of the course, which was held at Hegarty's property, upper Riverside Road.
