Mr and Mrs T. Kane, Argyle Street, cutting their golden wedding cake at a party put on for them by the Gisborne Burns Club.

A former teacher at Te Wharau School, now living in Philadelphia, U.S.A., Mrs Anne Wagner (nee Murray), daughter of the then Chief of Police, Mr W. R. Murray, returned to Gisborne recently with her family. She is pictured (at right), with her mother, Mrs Murray (now of Auckland), her husband, Mr John Wagner 3rd, and two children, John 4th and Josephine.

Mr and Mrs K. G. Runciman, sitting in the two chairs presented to them by the Gisborne Art Society, at their farewell function this month. They have been curators of the Gisborne Museum and Art Gallery for four-and-a-half years, and are retiring to Rotorua.

Mr Frank (Sprat) Dabis, who was a member of the Rowing Club and secretary of the Waikanae Beach Buzzers committee before leaving for Auckland in 1922 where he successfully established himself in the copying business.

Gisborne diver Shona Buscke, daughter of Mr and Mrs K. E. Buscke, Riverside Road, displays the centre badge which was awarded her after she represented H.B.-P.B. at the National championships.

Photographer Mike Hollands, who won £3000 in the Golden Kiwi Lottery in November, won an additional £500 less than a month later.....some people have all the luck! He is pictured receiving his prize from Mr F. E. Davis, manager of the Midway branch of the Bank of Australia and New Zealand.
