Notable Business Change

The long association of the name Petties with business in Gisborne ended last month when the premises on the corner of Gladstone Road and Customhouse Street were taken over by the new owners, Farmers Trading of Auckland. In a few hectic days the interior of the store was completely reorganised as existing stocks and fittings were disposed of, and train-loads of new goods and modern showcases were unloaded from trucks at the doors.
