Long Range Racing Pigeon

Winner of the P.B. Racing Pigeon Club's longest race, which was staged recently for the first time between Invercargill and Gisborne....a distance of 735 airline miles....was Mr Frank Martin's Manutere Karl. Homing to his loft in Walsh Street in just over 57 hours, the bird was the only entrant of the seven starters to complete the course in the required race time of 100 daylight hours.
