Kaiti Sea Scouts' Big Day

The Kaiti Sea Scout Troop, which was formed six years ago, had the most notable day in its short life recently, when it officially opened its new hall, launched its first boat, the Horouta, and a member, Rex Webby, received the troop's first Queen Scout badge....the highest award obtainable by a Scout.

A large crowd of visitors and other Scouts gathered in perfect weather at the troop's headquarters, beautifully situated in Anzac Park, to witness the ceremonies.
