Older Girls' Tournament

Gisborne claimed second place in the annual Y.M.C.A. Older Girls' Tournament which was held in the Y.M.C.A. stadium, Childers Road, during the recent school holidays.

Twelve teams from throughout the Dominion took part in the event, which consisted of competition in different activities, including gymnastics, volley ball, indoor basketball, table tennis, and speech making. The overall winners were North Shore, of Auckland.
