Hockey In The Rain

Three representative hockey games between Hawkes Bay and Poverty Bay senior men's, senior women's, and primary schoolgirls' teams at the Childers Road Reserve recently, resulted in a win for P.B. in the men's game, with the visitors taking the honours in the other two.

Partway through the afternoon, continuous heavy rain fell, saturating the players and ground, and making playing conditions most unpleasant.
