Brownies in Fancy Dress
Brownies, who get their name from the colour of the uniforms they wear, could have taken on a new name for their recent fancy drees party..... rainbows, or Kaleidoscopes, or something like that would have been more fitting for the youngsters taking part in this riot of colour, fantasy and high spirits.
Pardon us for making this the most prominent picture.....it's Catherine Hill dressed up as "Miss Photo News". She won first prize in the section for costume costing less than 1/-. (Not counting all Mum's work, of course!).
