The annual Primary Schools' basketball tournament was played recently in perfect weather. Picturad ia an incident from the grame Opotiki Primary B versus Convent B, with Paula Ball and Judy Connor racing to taka a flying ball. Watching at rear are Hilary Day, Annette Winder, and Marita Dennett.
Mrs. May Hannan-Williams, who will produce the Opotiki Drama Club's three-act comedy, "The White Sheep of the Family".
Racehorse trainer Paddy Abbot has given his team of horses their winter rest in Opotiki. His youngest daughter, Elizabeth, and apprentice, Peter Edwards, are pictured exercising Red Forrest, Lannuzel, and Llanelly.
