Poverty Bay v. Nth. Auckland

Poverty Bay Rugby supporters had a disappointing day when the home side were sadly beaten by North Auckland by 25 points to six in near-perfect conditions at Rugby Park.

Although the local side played a lively and entertaining game during the first half, to hold the visitors to a margin of five points, they were over-run in the dying stages as the Northern backs ran rampage through the inadequate defence.

A North Auckland back takes a spectacular tumble as he is up-ended by fullback Murray Hollis. Reece Johnstone is about to deal with the player in possession of the ball.
