Hazards Of Smoking

Recently the Health Department conducted a "Hazards of Smoking" campaign in the Gisborne Health District, in which a poster competition was a feature. School children in the Wairoa-Gisborne-Ruatoria-Opotiki district entered posters, four of which are reproduced here.

Irene Knopp, of Gisborne, won Section 1 with this entry.

Section 2 was won by Rapa Thompson of Wairoa with this effort.
Five hundred posters were entered in the contest.
