Table Tennis Champs

The annual Poverty Bay Table Tennis Championships, held in the Y.M.C.A. Stadium last month, drew good entries from both local and outside players to make the event a successful one.

Competition was keen, with some upsets during the early stages, most notable of which was the elimination of the reigning men's singles champion, George Lowe, by the promising young junior champion, John Parker.
