Roving Camera

When the M.O.W. measured the surface deflections in Gladstone Road last month, they used a Benkelman Beam and a truck with an eight ton load over its rear axle. The truck is stopped, the beam slid under; when the truck is driven off the beam rises slightly and the operators are able to measure the amount of rise in the road surface.

The operators in this picture are Bryan Pugh and Russell Smith.
