Roller Hockey

Roller skating hockey is an impressive sport and, although not as fast as ice-hockey, has just as many thrills. The Queen's Birthday weekend tourney held at the Gisborne rink showed the game at its best.

There were spills and thrills, even knockouts!

The Gisborne men's A team were unfortunate in not winning the E. C. Richards Shield, which was won by Petone. Altogether, Saturday's play was satisfying to all concerned but further play on the Sunday was marred by bad weather.
