Pensioners' Flats Opened

A group of nice pensioners' flats, situated on the corner of Lytton Road and Titoki Street, were officially opened by the Minister of Housing, Mr J. Rae, at an outdoor ceremony recently.

The flats, which are for single pensioners, are fully self contained apart from a common laundry.

During his speech, the Minister assured the city council that a subsidy for a further 24 flats would be readily given upon application.
