It's Fun Convalescing

Tucked away in a quiet Kaiti corner, the Morris Convalescent Home has been out of the news lately.. Nevertheless, it has been doing a great Job in the post-hospital sphere, and patients there are high in their praises for the home, the beautiful surroundings on the banks of the Waimata River, and for the care and help given them by the Matron and har staff.

When "Photo News" called the other day, the weather was "out of the box", and croquet on the extensive lawn fronting the home was on the entertainment programme for the inmates.

But not all were playing croquet, Down on the riverbank, others were trying their luck with fishing lines in the river.

It seemed to us an ideal way to win back health and strength after hospital treatment, and there"s only one word for the surroundings....they're perfect.

While we were taking this picture of Mrs B. Greening, Mr R. Robieson, and Mr F. Smythe enjoying the fishing, a nice little herring was taking Mrs Greening's bait, and here (at left) is the proud angler and her catch.
