Tennis Tournament

The Poverty Bay-East Coast Lawn Tennis Association's annual Anniversary Week-end tournament attracted large entries in the junior sections when it was held over three days at the association's courts in Childers Road.

Played in brilliant weather, the tournament had a novelty event.....a mixed doubles competition for fathers and sons, and mothers and daughters, which was won by Mrs Erikson and her son, Graham.
