Our Cover

Colourful scenes from Unity Theatre's forthcoming production of "The Sleeping Beauty" grace our covers this month.

The picture on the front cover portrays the classic moment when Prince Charming (Janet Parker) awakes the Princess (Sharon Troy) from her 100-year sleep. In the background is the Fairy Queen (Janet Taylor).

On the back cover, in all their regal splendour, are the King and Queen of Palladia (Bob Moles and Niomi Hudson). The pictures were taken by "Photo News" at Ulverstone.

"The Sleeping Beauty" will be a pre-Christmas attraction at the Opera House from December 15 to 22.

Technical Details (of interest to colour photo enthusiasts): Taken on Agfa CN. 17 color-negative film, developed by Agfa NZ Ltd. Exposure, 125th sec at f. 8, bright sunlight. Pictures by R. Logan; colour separations and plates by C. W. Smith; 4-colour printing by Don Wilson, on a Crabtree press.
