Y.M.C.A Ladies' Auxiliary Presentations

The ladies' auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. recently held their fiftieth anniversary celebration at Ulverstone, during which six members received recognition for their many years of service, four of them also being presented with life membership certificates. They are pictured

The deputy-chairman of the Gisborne Harbour Board, Mr D. E. Chrisp (centre), and the secretary-manager of the board, Mr E. A. Khull, receiving a contribution for the harbour development loan from 19-year-old Mr Ngatama (Jumbo) Wanoa, who is an employee of the Kaiti Fishermen Co. Ltd. Said Jumbo, "The loan and the further development of the harbour will help to create work for oncoming generations".
