Floral Festival
Gisborne's first floral festival, which consisted of decorative floral courts and exhibits entered by different organisations, was attended by more than 5000 adults and countless children during its two-day season in the War Memorial Hall, making it an outstanding success.
The festival committee, encouraged by the success of their venture, have laid aside their profits in a trust fund for future festivals, which they hope to hold annually.
