Mr Chas. Smith, of 80 Stout Street, was guest of honour at a reunion held at Ulverstone recently by ex-members of the St. Andrew's bible class who were taught by Mr Smith during the depression of thirty years ago. The function was arranged and attended by 40 of Mr Smith's former pupils in appreciation of the encouragement and assistance he gave them in obtaining jobs during those difficult years. He is pictured (centre) with some of those present at the function.
