On August 28, at Holy Trinity Church: Valma Muriel Hutchins, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. C. Hutchins, Aberdeen Road, Gisborne, to Roy Young, son of Mr and Mrs R. O. Young, of Bulls. At left are the groomsman, Mr. D. Hutchins, brother of the bride, the bridesmaid, Miss Nola Davis. At right are Mr. F. A. Norman, of Palmerston Nth., who was best man, and Miss Mavis Wood, of Dunedin, who was chief bridesmaid. The wedding party was met at the steps by a guard of honour with swords drawn, composed of local highland dancers. The bride, hereself a highland dancer for many years, is now a judge of the Piping and Dancing Association.
