NEW ANZ BANK

GOLF REFEREES

Gisborne has one of the very few airfields in the world that has a railway crossing the main runway. It is also unusual for trains not to have right of way at level crossings. Here in Gisborne the Air Control Tower controls the crossing. Part of the experience of the Auckland Train Enthusiasts who travelled to Gisborne was to stop for a plane. Fortunately a Photo News cameraman, a passenger on the Air Gisborne Seneca II twin engine all weather charter plane / air ambulance that stopped the train, was able to capture this nose to nose confrontation.

Customer of the moment Where Kahuroa's burger in Liz Nikora's hand, with Robyn Stewart, Hiroko Torigoe and Tom Tamanui the cooks.
