ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

A day of games and entertainment marked the opening of the new train station at the Adventure playground. Dozens of children and adults joined in the fun in the sun as the fundraiser kicked off summer, reminding people of the wonderful ammenities available to the community. The Adventure Playground Trust, a relatively small band of workers, spend hours of their time keeping the facilities up to scratch with help from the Council who own the land, and generous assistance from the Williams Trust. All monies raised are returned to the playground to improve facilities.

Cameron Huberts The "Media Challenge" using paddle bikes and bumper boats was taken very seriously by the media teams concerned. With a "stunning" trophy at stake to be contested each year, the competition became "very serious." 89 FM were clear winners in both sections. One could not be sure what their secret was but one suspects their weight and technique had a lot to do with their 3 minute lead.
