Pool of Fashion

The McGlashen Swimming Club benefited by $300 after the highly successful fashion parade held in the River Bar of the Albion Hotel. The occasion, which was a sell-out, included wine and cheese. While sipping and tasting the audience was treated to a parade of high-class fashion from Auckland designers and manufacturers Margaret Haig (formerly Whitehead of Gisborne) and Anne Lamport. Compere was New Zealand's leading fashion coordinator, Diane Leaming.
