The Te Hapara Mothers' Union celebrated its 21st birthday recently. An enjoyable function was held at Ulverstone which included supper and the cutting of the cake. This was done by Mrs Peg Sheldrake, enrolling member for 1953. From left are Mrs Jean Easton, treasurer, Mrs Jean Gardiner, enrolling member, Mrs Sheldrake, Mrs Jean Green, secretary, and the Rev. N. S. Clarke, vicar of St. Mark's.

Alayne Holmes has gained her B.Sc. at Victoria University, Wellington. This year she is studying for honours in geology. Alayne is the daughter of Mr and Mrs A. H. Holmes, 103 Whitaker St.

Michael Bugden has left on a three to five year working holiday around the world. Michael is the son of Mrs Alfreda Bugden, Collins Street.

The team won the Longley Rose Bowl, and the Robson and Glengarry Cups.
