Muddy Match

In contrast to the general rule for the current season which has often given the Poverty Bay Rugby Union a fine day in the middle of a wet spell for its games with visiting teams, the annual match between the local reps and the Olympians at Rugby Park saw play start in a downpour, with the field looking rather lake-like and only a handful of spectators outside those who had seats in the stand.
