Cadet Midshipman Leslie Merton, son of Mrs E. V. Ellis, of 12 Mangapapa Road, who is at present stationed at Plymouth, England. He spent 2½years at the Royal Australian Naval College, graduating last March, and as part of his training in England has completed a three-month North Atlantic cruise in the aircraft carrier H.M.S. Triumph.
