Monaco-Nelson Races
Squally conditions and an incoming tide provided a stern test for power boatsmen and yachtsmen taking part in the annual Monaco-Port Nelson races last month. The power boat race was won by Geoff Tuffnell in Skippy 11 and the yachting race by Milton Pope's Flying Dutchman, El Scorpio.
Coming up the blind channel, El Scorpio sails past John McConchie's Flying Dutchman, Tauris.
Contestants in the power boat race get the course sorted out before leaving Monaco.
Geoff Tuffnell and Skippy 11 get away to a good start.
In the middle of that white water there's a power boat, but we wouldn't have a clue who it is.
