N.S.W. Beats Nelson
The touring New South Wales under 16 soccer side proved too slick a combination, winning 2-0 on Trafalgar Park. But, as the winning score indicates, the tourists by no means had a walk-over. The difference in the two sides was that the visitors had the combination to finish off the movements, and Nelson did not.
The two teams lined up before the start of the game (Nelson is in front kneeling).
This might appear to be a N.S.W. goal coming up, but Nelson goalie G. Booker saved well.
A virile Nelson attack in the first half is stifled by the N.S.W. defence and goalie, R. Hickson.
Lots of action here but no ball Nelson repels an attack on the goal during the second half.
