Jaycees Celebrate
Twenty-one years of service to the community life of Nelson was celebrated last month by the Nelson chapter of Jaycees. The celebrations included a "stag" cocktail party, the handing over of the new beacon on Botanical Hill, an anniversary dinner and ball and a church parade.
Foundation members Bob Barnes and Bruce Bell find something of interest in the old records (Bruce was inaugural secretary).

Former president Lin Gamble receives from president Phillip Coote (right) a certificate notifying him of his election to the senate of Jaycee International. His election to this high office was for outstanding services rendered the organisation. The presentation was made at the anniversary dinner.
