Apple Bobbing Contest

Not to be outdone by the New Zealand Apple and Pear Board, which was running an apple-peeling contest at the time, Woolworths, at Nelson, ran an apple-eating contest in their store. But there were strings - and these were attached to the apples, and the young contestant had to "bob" for the bite. And, at top, that's just what Dale Guthrie, Patrick Doyle, Ricki Shaw and Ralph Swale are doing.
