Luxury hotel for Nelson

American and New Zealand investing interests are to erect a $1-million luxury hotel at Tahunanui. The hotel complex is to be laid out on a 4½-acre site at the sea end of Parkers Road, between the golf course and the motor camp. Features of the hotel include a heated swimming pool, other outdoor and indoor sporting facilities, at least one conference room, and many other modern amenities. The project has still to receive the approval of the Licensing Control Commission and the City Council. If these are obtained, work on the project might commence this year.
