Ploughing contest

Last year' s winner of the Nelson section of the Atlantic Silver Plough contest, P. McCallum, of Blenheim, qualified for the New Zealand contest when he repeated his last year's form to take the title this year. He was one of 15 contestants, most of whom had qualified in other districts. Contestants on this page were McCallum (left), I. Jordan, of Blenheim, and D. Foster (Rolleston), below, and W. Higgins (Ratupara) and L. Harn (Blenheim), bottom.
