The Nelson Women's Bowling Centre's champion of champions pairs titles were decided at Riwaka recently. The Motueka pair, Mesdames Lorna Suckling (left) and Norma Westrupp won the senior title (above right), and the junior title went to the Richmond pair, Mesdames N. Henman and M. A. Luskie.

Popular Nelson sporting personality "Mick" Kinzett won the men's senior champion of champions singles title. Mick, who plays for Mapua, is well known for his prowess in Rugby and cricket spheres, and as a Nelson Rugby selector. He took all three titles, singles, fours and pairs, of the Mapua club this season and has skipped the winning four in the Easter tournament four times. Junior title winner (right) was Andy Hedwig (Nelson club) who has been bowling for only three years. He also has had an outstanding club season this year.
