Karate a Deadly Science

Television hastened to glamourise violence somewhat. Seldom does one ever see a punch thrown, except in the westerns. Today it's all karate and karate chops and everyone can do it. But karate is more than a method of self defence. It's a deadly science and exponents of it can maim and kill. Members of the Nelson Karate Club treat this science as a sport and, from what we have seen, a small band of men and women have become very adept at it.
