Nothing like do-it-yourself when it comes to raising finance, as these members of the Nelson Fire Brigade are demonstrating. Wanting to raise money for their social club, the members naturally thought of fires, and particularly the means of keeping them burning. So they bought coal in bulk and bag it for sale to the public. On the job we found Murray Jarrett, Peter Dayman, Michael Oliver, Neville Jenks, Graeme Jarrett, Peter Mc-Kane and, at back, Michael Del Favero and Michael Hillerby.
