Roving Camera


On the way around Wakefield Quay one very blustery Saturday, we spotted this young mariner in difficulty. He had an outgoing tide and quite a wind to contend with, but as can be seen at right, he mastered all and continued the race. We don't know who he was, but for a fine bit of seamanship, he is to be congratulated. Mid-week tennis for the ladies is now well established. At Richmond recently, we came upon a match between teams from Murchison and Richmond. Murchison ladies


Were Prue Hall, Marlene McCaa, Vera Sara, Barbara Flower, Joyce McCaa, June Willetts, Miri Watson, Caroline Flower. Richmond team comprised Jill Clementson, Gladys Shalders, Wal Stobie, Di Spittal, Jill Ostapczuk, Loretta Wilson, Ellen Biggs, Shirley Allan and Ngaire Smith.
